Purpose
The purpose of this document is to outline the Garrison Golf and Curling Club’s (GG&CC)
policy regarding delays due to Frost
Intent
It is the intent of the Golf Executive committee to ensure that a policy is in place that will provide clear direction for the staff so that they can perform their duties while still allowing for the> maximum possible golfing pleasure for members and patrons of the GG&CC.
Application
In the event of a frost delay the following procedures will be implemented. Normal Start (Tee times off of one nine only)
Tee times will be delayed up to 1 hour. If the delay continues beyond 1 hour, tee times will be forfeited every 7/8 minutes.
For example: If the first tee time is 7:00 AM and there is a frost delay that last over 1 hour at 8:07 AM the group that was supposed to tee off at 7:00 AM will forfeit their tee time. If the delay continues, at 8:15 AM the group that was supposed to tee off at 7:07 will forfeit their tee time. Crossover Start (Tee Times off of both nines at the same time)
Tee times will be delayed up to ½ hour. If the delay continues beyond ½ hour, tee times will be forfeited every 7/8 minutes. For example: If the first tee times are at 7:00 AM and there is a frost delay that last over ½ hour, at 7:37 AM the groups that were supposed to tee off at 7:00 AM will forfeit their tee times. If the delay continues, at 7:45 AM the groups that were supposed to tee off at 7:07 will forfeit their tee times.
